What this chapter covers

This chapter covers edible fruit and nuts, along with peel of citrus fruit and melons, presented fresh, frozen, dried or provisionally preserved. Chilled fruit and nuts are classified in the same heading as the fresh ones. Dried fruit and nuts may be partly rehydrated, or treated to keep them sound or to improve their appearance, and still stay in the chapter as long as they keep the character of dried goods.

2. Soğutulmuş meyveler ve sert kabuklu meyveler tazeleri ile aynı pozisyonda sınıflandırılırlar.

3. Kurutulmuş meyve veya kurutulmuş sert kabuklu meyve karakterini korumak şartıyla, bu fasıldaki

kurutulmuş meyve ve kurutulmuş sert kabuklu meyveler kısmen yeniden su verilmiş veya

(a) Korunmalarını veya dayanıklıklarını artırmak (örneğin, düşük ısı işlemi uygulayarak, kükürtleyerek,

sorbik asit veya potasyum sorbat ilavesiyle) amacıyla;

(b) Görünümlerini iyileştirmek veya muhafaza etmek (örneğin, bitkisel yağ veya az miktarda glikoz

şurubu ilavesiyle ) amacıyla

işlem görmüş olabilirler.

4. 08.12 pozisyonu kullanımdan önce taşınması veya depolanması sırasında esas olarak geçici koruma
